Chelsey Scott - Sojourn Community Church - Louisville

I will be partnering with Sojourn Community Church at a Visual Arts & Communication Intern for a year. In addition to becoming a member of Sojourn and serving in a community group , I will be serving 20 hours a week doing things such as assisting with the event calendar, getting creative on how to communicate believer’s testimonies, assisting with graphic design projects like the worship bulletins, along with photographing services and events within the community. I plan on going through a 24-week biblical and theological training curriculum called Women’s school along with the class, Doctrines I as well. My Goals for the internship are: 

1. To grow in love, knowledge, and grace in the Gospel. I would like to take my sin more seriously, recognize my weakness and dependence on God, and my Savior, Jesus Christ as the ultimate treasure – loving Him more deeply

2. To develop a heart for people and for the lost. I am an introvert, which causes me to keep to myself a lot of times, but rather I would like to see myself investing in live of others.

3. To develop sharper skills within photography and graphic design, whether that’s learning more of the technical aspects of each field or pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

4. To discern my calling and develop a vision within visual arts ministry. How do I get involved in God’s will through visual arts? I believe this internship is a step into that direction.

I am excited to see where God is going to lead & use me within this ministry – making Christ known through art!
