Steven Greene - Campus Ministry at Webster University

We will be working through Old Orchard Church, a small congregation located in Webster Groves near Webster University. The church is a vibrant, organic community one that Grace and I love. The church desires to have a greater presence for the gospel at Webster University, and upon seeing our passion to minister to college students, they asked us to develop a college ministry. We jumped at this opportunity, especially as both of us were tremendously impacted by college ministries in our own lives. The students of Webster University need a consistent presence on campus for Jesus Christ. Currently, there is one evangelical campus ministry, Campus Crusade, whose campus minister’s time is split between several universities in eastern Missouri. We will work with Campus Crusade to form a bridge between Webster students and Old Orchard Church, build a Gospel centered community, and create and make disciples who pursue Christ-likeness for the rest of their lives. We will accomplish this through small groups, the Alpha course, outreach, and cultural engagement events.
