Global Service Network is a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) which serves as a monitoring agency to ensure that non-profit Christian ministries maintain the highest ethical standards. Voluntary ECFA membership requires full financial disclosure and the exercise of sound fundraising practices.
Having served last semester with Chinese scholars at the University of Louisville, I am grateful to now have the opportunity to help with the missions ministry at Ninth and O Baptist Church. I get to shadow both the pastor of evangelism and education and the missions coordinator, helping especially in the administrative arena – which has become a big need thanks to the growth that the missions ministry has seen over the past few years. I’ll also be able to help with theological training in Ecuador on behalf of Ninth and O, on an upcoming short-term missions trip. Since we had been serving overseas in a restricted nation for 10 years, our local church experience was very limited – so I’m thankful that the Lord has opened the door for me to learn more about pastoral ministry and missions in a local church setting. More importantly, I’ve got a wonderful wife, Lam, and 3 super-cute kids!
